Testing Process
We test all our computers to ensure that they are reliable, stable, and perform well in various applications and games. Our checks can be divided into two categories: health checks and performance benchmarks.
Health Checks
We check the health of your computer to make sure it is reliable and stable. All health tests are either a pass or fail. We do the following tests:
- Drive health: We verify that all the drives in your computer are functioning properly and have no errors or bad sectors. This ensures that your data is safe and your system can boot and load programs quickly.
- Temperature: We monitor the temperature of your CPU, GPU, and other components to make sure they are within safe limits. This prevents overheating, throttling, or damage to your hardware.
- General stability: We check that your system is running at the correct clock speeds, voltages, and timings, and that there are no crashes, freezes, or glitches. This ensures that your system is stable and can handle any workload without problems.
- Memory: We use specialized software to test the computers RAM for errors or defects. This ensures that your memory is reliable and can store and retrieve data accurately.
- Stress test: We use 3D rendering software to stress test the system for 2.5 hours straight, at 100% load by rendering a complex scene constantly. This tests the endurance and stability of your system under heavy load and high temperature.
Performance Benchmarks
We measure the performance of your computer to show you how fast it is. We will specify what settings were used in each scenario. Results are recorded in a comparable number (such as fps or render time). We do the following tests:
- Graphics benchmark: We use Unigine Heaven to measure the performance of the GPU in a 3D environment similar to a game. This gives you an idea of how well your GPU can handle graphics-intensive tasks and games.
- Rendering: We use the Blender benchmark to measure the performance of your CPU and GPU in rendering 3D scenes. This gives you an idea of how well your system can handle creative workloads and applications.
- Gaming: We test Fortnite, Apex and CS2 to measure your system’s performance in gaming scenarios. This gives you an idea of how well your system can handle competitive gaming and multiplayer scenarios.
- CPU: We use Geekbench to measure the performance of your CPU. This gives you an idea of how well your CPU can handle general computing and multitasking.
If you have any questions or concerns about whether a computer can run an application or game that we didn’t test, please contact us. We are happy to help you find the best computer for your needs.
