  • The Gigabyte B760M GAMING X AX mATX motherboard is selected when an Intel CPU is part of the build.
  • The MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI mATX motherboard is selected when an AMD CPU is part of the build.
  • Both motherboards come with Wi-Fi.

Power Supply Unit (PSU):

  • The PSU is selected based on the power requirements of the build.
  • The options chosen are either fully or semi-modular PSUs from EVGA or Corsair.
  • Depending on the power needs of the build, a 750W, 800W, or 1000W 80 PLUS Gold PSU is selected.

CPU Cooler:

  • The CPU cooler is an air-powered unit, selected based on the thermal output of the CPU.
  • For higher-end CPUs like the Ryzen 7 7700x and above or the Intel Core i5 14600kf and above, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 or its SE variant is selected.
  • For lower-end CPUs, the Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE is used.
  • The lighting of the coolers is determined by the selected lighting option.

For optimal performance, always ensure your system meets the recommended requirements for your use case.

Intel CPUs:

  1. Intel Core i3 14100F: This entry-level CPU is ideal for basic computing needs. With 4 cores and 8 threads, a base clock frequency of 3.5 GHz, and a boost up to 4.7 GHz, it’s a solid choice to pair with lower-end GPUs.

  2. Intel Core i5 14400F: A step up from the i3, this CPU offers enhanced performance with 10 cores and 16 threads. It has a base clock frequency of 2.5 GHz and can boost up to 4.7 GHz. It’s a versatile choice for a wide range of applications.

If you’re into high-end gaming, video editing, 3D rendering, or you run a lot of applications at the same time, then 32GB of RAM would be beneficial. These scores, presented as percentages relative to the RTX 3050, offer insights into the potential performance differences between each tier of GPU. However, they are not indicative of gaming performance.

  1. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050: Ideal for gamers who enjoy 1080p gaming at 60FPS and high settings. This card is well-suited for newer triple-A games or high refresh rate gaming on esports titles. Blender Benchmark Score: 100% (1515.32). Only suitable for basic professional applications and 3D modelling tasks.

  2. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060: A step up from the 3050, the 4060 shines at 1080p gaming with ultra settings. It can handle ray tracing in some games and deliver extremely high framerates for esports titles. It’s also a solid choice for 1440p gaming at high settings. Blender Benchmark Score: 208% (3160.66). The lighting setup of your PC is determined by the option you select.

  • None: Selecting this option will result in a PC with minimal or no RGB lighting. The emphasis will instead be on achieving a consistent colour scheme throughout the build.

  • RGB: Selecting this option means your PC will feature RGB lighting on its case, CPU fans, and RAM sticks. However, please note that you will have limited control over this lighting. It will cycle through its own predefined lighting patterns.

  • ARGB (Addressable RGB): This option provides you with comprehensive control over your PC’s lighting on the case and CPU fans. Each ARGB LED can display a variety of colours and intensities independently, enabling intricate effects. Your PC will come with preinstalled software for customizing the lighting. Please note that other components may only support RGB and may not offer the same level of control as the case and CPU fans.
